Designed to keep under hood temps down, the Dream Automotive Hard-Lagged Turbo Heat Shield offers superior protection against engine bay heat-soak from the turbo and downpipe on the K20C1 engine found in the FK2, FK8 and FL5 Type R's. 

Made from aero-space industry materials, hard-lagged products are designed to withstand temperatures of up to 1200°C. To create such products, an inner insulating material is firmly pressed into shape. A metallic skin is then micro spot-welded into place entirely covering the insulation therefore creating a completed shell. The metallic skin also acts as part of the thermal barrier by providing additional heat resistance. 
Our hard-lagged turbo heat shield utilizes the same securing points and hardware as the original OEM heat shield. Please note that our heat shield cannot be used alongside the OEM heat shield. 
Our hard-lagged Turbo Heatshield is compatible with many aftermarket turbos such as the Mitsubishi MHI and PRL Motorsports P600/P700. If you have a different turbocharger and are unsure about fitment, get in contact and our team will be more than happy to advise!
